The Sustainable Event Playbook

Every event leaves a footprint, and the pressure to take responsibility for that footprint is mounting from every direction: regulators, stakeholders, clients, audiences. So where do you start?

This session is designed to provide an insight to the strategies and methodologies required to reduce the impact of events. Presented by a team of experts, we'll move through the full lifecycle of a sustainable event - design, procurement, measurement, reporting, and communications - not to go deep on every topic, but to show you where the leverage points are and where to focus your energy.

What we'll cover:

  • Why sustainable events matter now, and what's at stake for the industry

  • The key impact areas: materials, logistics, catering, power, guest travel, water and waste

  • How to develop an effective supply chain

  • How to measure, report, and where appropriate, offset your event's footprint

  • How to communicate your sustainability story authentically and navigate the tough questions

Whether you've never considered the environmental footprint of your events, you've started the journey but aren't sure where to go from here, or you're looking to take an existing sustainability program to the next level; this session will give you a clearer picture of where to focus.

We'll close with an open Q&A - bring your burning questions.
