Individual choices absolutely matter. (See the previous question for some ideas, if you’re not sure where to start.)
But we are strongest when we act collectively. So, that’s why B Lab works to build a movement of B Corps, strengthened by partnerships.
So, when you take an action, consider sharing it and encouraging others to join you. Bring a friend with you to a B Corp store or event. Talk to your boss about how you can use the B Impact Assessment to start improving your company’s environmental impact. Better yet, get your colleagues involved, too. Together, we can shift behaviors, norms, and even systems. -
Yes. This is part of what makes B Corp Certification different: it’s not just about what you say, it’s about what you do. We assess companies’ actions when it comes to how they treat their stakeholders, for example their workers, communities, customers, and the environment.
Our latest Annual Report has lots of data on the collective impact of B Corps around the world. Go right to the “What We Achieve” section to see how B Corps are making a positive impact when it comes to climate & environment, workers, and governance & accountability. -
